I am an MFA graduate in scenic and costume design from Michigan State University. My creative focus is theatre/design as a social practice. I feel that as storytellers it is our responsibility to be cognizant of the stories we tell and our methods of production. I am interested in theatre as a holistic medium and acted as scenographer in my senior undergraduate capstone, Constellations. This work was done with very limited resources and budget, which presented me with the opportunity to creatively problem solve. With the resources of MSU, I've been able to apply my practice in resourceful, responsible theatre-craft, with such shows as Twelfth Night, One Man Two Guvnors, and A Wrinkle in Time. I've also had the opportunity to teach several undergraduate courses both in-person and online.
