A Wrinkle in Time: Costume Design

Director: Ryan Welsh
Scenic Designer: Mike Gault
Lighting Designer: Dan Jaworski
Sound Designer: Joseph Lancour
Props Designer: Tony Attard
Set in the early 1960's, this rendition of A Wrinkle in Time follows unnamed characters who are reading the novel during it's initial release. As they read they transform into the characters from the novel. I wanted both the external (reader) world and the internal (fantasy character) world to feel cohesive, so my design for the alien characters drew inspiration from early 60's sci-fi. I enjoyed the specificity and style of the era, and the opportunity to work with new materials as the puppet designer for The Happy Medium and Aunt Beast.
